Bookings During Peak Periods
In order to ensure fairness to all guests and to address the growing issue of cancellations and 'no shows', full payment is required in advance for stays that occur during specific peak times as set out below.
For stays planned during any of the following dates, full payment is required in advance of your stay:

Easter Weekend (Thursday-Tuesday)

Please note your booking is not confirmed until full payment is received to the Pouto Marine Hall Campground bank account. Details will be provided to you when making your booking.
*Where the observed day is not the Monday or is Mondayised due to being on a weekend, then alternate days may require full payment in advance. This will be confirmed when making your booking.
Cancellations and Changes
Free cancellation applies up to 14 days prior to your arrival date.
Cancellations 7-14 days prior to your arrival date may be refunded to 50% of the price, at the discretion of the Pouto Marine Hall Campground Committee.
Cancellations less than 7 days prior to your arrival date will not be refunded, however, as a gesture of goodwill, if your campsite can be rebooked to others, you may be refunded up to 90% of the price, at the discretion of the Pouto Marine Hall Campground Committee.
If you have arrived on site and choose to leave prior to your scheduled departure date, no refunds will be given.
Please note that in the event of exceptional circumstances (e.g. Cyclone Gabrielle), the Pouto Marine Hall Campground Committee may revisit the above policy, at their discretion.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in after 2pm
Check-out by 10am
All campers must vacate the campsite by 10:00am on their departure date.
Health and Safety
Please note:

There are no shops or petrol stations in Pouto so it is recommended to stock up in Dargaville.

The last 10km of the road to Pouto is gravel.
-
It is not permitted to bring more than 100L of stored fuel onto campground premises.
